Keep the seconds skin on for up to 5 days. You can shower with the film on, but you should avoid exercising for at least 5 days. The second skin may come loose in the edges and there can be air bubbles and liquid collect under the film, but as long as the second skin close around the tattoo, the tattoo is protected and has the best conditions to heal beautifully. You should only remove the film before the 5 days, if it happens to loosen so much that there are access to the tattoo
Keep the film on for at least 6 hours. For the first night you can sleep with it overnight and remove it in the morning.
Start removing the film from one edge while you're showering and rinsing with lukewarm water. It can hurt a bit to remove the film, but you can't do anything wrong in this process. It doesn't matter if you do it slow or fast. Excess liquid might come off with the film, but this is completely normal.
Gently wash your tattoo in perfume and paragon free soap. Neutral soap is a good choice. Pay the tattoo dry with a clean towel or paper towel, or let airdry. When the tattoo has dried up, lubricate with a thin layer of ointment. Use pantheon creme or ointment specially made for tattoo aftercare.
Wash the tattoo once a day and lubricate with a thin layer of ointment 2-3 times a day.
Avoid chlorine water, salt water, tub and spa baths. Avoid direct sunlight, solarium and contact sports or training with risk of severe stretches or tinker with your tattoo. There might be small, loose black skin flakes in the healing process, that you should let fall off by itself.
Always remember to use sunscreen on your healed tattoos. Preferably factor 50.
Should any problems arise during the healing process, do not hesitate to contact your tattoo artist. We will always do our best to help and answer questions.
